  43. The CUPS(TM) Driver Development Kit ("DDK") is provided under
  44. the GNU General Public License ("GPL").

  46. For those not familiar with the GNU GPL, the license basically
  47. allows you to:

  49.     - Use the CUPS DDK software at no charge.
  50.  
  51.     - Distribute verbatim copies of the software in source or
  52.       binary form.

  54.     - Sell verbatim copies of the software for a media fee, or
  55.       sell support for the software.

  57.     - Distribute or sell printer drivers and filters that use
  58.       the CUPS DDK so long as source code is made available
  59.       under the GPL.

  62. add features to the CUPS DDK and then sell a binary distribution

  64. drivers, changes, or additions to the software, and all code
